education

Turning educational vision into successful institutions. I design lasting learning experiences using the best modern IT education has to offer.

Strategy – Pedagogy – Teams – Operations

Leveraging 18 years of experience at Epitech, 42, and Codam, I partner with IT education institutions to design and deliver modern learning experiences in line with their vision and the needs of the industry.

Education Architect

All successful IT institutions I have encountered have in common a defining educational vision and the expertise to implement it. During my close to 20 years of experience as a teacher, education engineer and director, I have played a key role in defining such visions and implementing them with a lasting impact. Today, my role is to deliver strategic and operational value at every stage of your IT education institution, whether you are launching a greenfield campus or scaling an existing one. Please reach out, and let’s see how I can support your institution.

Education Engineering

GenAI Based Learning GenAI Based Learning

Solving Bloom’s 2 Sigma Problem through GenAI tutoring and process-oriented assessment.

I integrate GenAI into the core of your pedagogical model, moving beyond widespread Socratic RAG-chatbots to create engaging educational tools that inspire intrinsic motivation. Grounded in the self-learning principles of andragogy, or heutagogy where meaningful, my approach views the student as an autonomous learner, using GenAI to improve their learning experiences. To complement this shift, I evolve your evaluation models from deliverable-based grading to a rigorous assessment of the student’s actual thinking and learning process.

  • Engaging AI Tutoring: Designing RAG-powered tutors that utilize story-driven learning and serious game mechanics to boost intrinsic motivation and maintain high student engagement levels beyond standard persona-based interactions.
  • Process-Oriented Evaluation: Implementing the DRIVE framework to assess the “how” behind the “what” by observing and categorizing student interaction logs, thus providing an objective measurement of a learner’s evolving knowledge of the domain.
  • AI Pedagogical Strategy: Defining the progressive, or disruptive, integration of GenAI in your new or existing programs to ensure the best learning experience and reduce the gap in Bloom’s 2 Sigma Problem.

Academic System Design Academic System Design

Designing the structural architecture of educational programs and the technical systems that support them.

I design your educational architecture aligned with your academic requirements and EdTech platform capabilities. This involves defining the hierarchy of programs, learning units, and courses, from broad degree requirements down to granular skill trees, along with the assessment and validation logic that ties them together.

  • Skills Framework: Mapping domain skills into reified system elements to objectively represent and track the progress of students.
  • Program Architecture: Structuring the hierarchy of years, semesters, courses, and custom academic units to create a clear and coherent learning journey.
  • Assessment & Validation: Designing the assessment and validation rules used to ensure objective student progression and their implementation in your learning system.

Instructional Design Instructional Design

Designing relevant, industry-aligned learning content and the methods to deliver it.

I audit or engineer curriculums to bridge the gap between academic theory and industry reality. This involves analyzing existing programs to identify pedagogical debt, or building new content from scratch. I define instructional strategies that ensure students benefit from the best possible learning experience, capable of leveraging Artificial Intelligence where effective, or delivering education through traditional means alone.

  • Instructional Design: Defining the learning models (e.g., active learning, peer-to-peer, learning-to-learn) and delivery methods (lectures, practicals, projects) best suited to your educational goals.
  • Curriculum Audit: Analyzing existing course materials to identify content gaps, pedagogical debt, and misalignment with current industry standards.
  • Technical Authorship: Creation of challenging and engaging projects and course material for Software Engineering programs.

Education Team Structuring Education Team Structuring

Empowering technical experts to become effective educators.

A high quality curriculum requires a capable team to deliver it. I structure your education department and support your staff to transition from technical experts to effective educators, or vice versa. This involves identifying and defining the specific roles within your academic team, from management to teachers and teaching assistants, recruiting and training them when necessary.

  • Team Architecture: Defining the organizational structure, core roles, and required skills for your academic staff.
  • Pedagogical Training: Delivering workshops and training to your staff about learning methodologies, student mentorship, or lecturing.
  • Quality Assurance: Establishing delivery standards and feedback loops to ensure consistency and student satisfaction.

Campus Launch

Greenfield Campus Launch Greenfield Campus Launch

Building world-class educational institutions from the ground up.

I guide founders and organizations through the complex process of launching new educational campuses. From the initial feasibility study to welcoming the first students, I provide the strategic blueprint for your institution. I oversee the selection of physical infrastructure, the design of IT systems, and the recruitment of the founding team, ensuring you launch in the best possible conditions.

  • Launch Strategy: Developing the operational roadmap, timeline, and budget for the creation of a new campus or the expansion of an existing one.
  • Infrastructure Design: Advising on the physical layout (learning spaces, collaborative spaces) and technical infrastructure required.
  • Founding Team Recruitment: Managing the hiring and onboarding of the core administrative and academic staff required to open the doors.

Network Expansion Network Expansion

Scaling from a single campus to a distributed educational network.

Scaling an educational institution from one campus to several is a critical undertaking. It demands a transition from ad-hoc operations to distributed systems, sometimes in different timezones. I guide your organization through this structural transition, helping you decouple your processes from the first location so they can be used anywhere. I design the protocols that allow the satellite campuses to operate with autonomy while remaining synchronized with your core mission.

  • Replication Strategy: Creating the “Campus-in-a-Box” operational kit, packaging your curriculum, IT systems, and administrative processes for smooth deployment in new locations.
  • Network Alignment: Defining the communication channels, reporting workflows, and pedagogical synchronization needed to keep operations and education aligned across all sites.
  • Quality Consistency: Establishing network-wide monitoring mechanisms to ensure that the educational experience and student outcomes remain identical across all locations.

About me

My career began in 2008 as an undergraduate teaching assistant. That’s when I discovered  my talent and interest for helping younger students to learn programming. Little did I know that this interest would bloom into a fiery passion for education that never left me. From then, my career followed an upward trajectory, eventually leading me to the head of an education institution a decade later.

With nearly 20 years in IT education, I have seen every facet of the field: from teaching and curriculum design to recruitment, plannings, budgets, communication, and so much more. While these activities are different, they all aim at the same goal: providing the best possible learning experience for our students.

Education is a noble calling, but it comes with immense responsibility. The young people who entrust us with their future deserve more than just high-quality lectures and modern AI tools. It is our duty to prepare them to navigate this world in constant evolution, to seize its opportunities, and to identify its threats. Each one of our students has their own fears, hopes, dreams, and I know first hand that a few words of encouragement, a simple sign that you care, can make all the difference.
